decrepit benches
is it unreasonable
I’m so needy
I want success and to be attended
but I have the hardest time
picking up the guitar and going
wouldn’t say I’m bad
but there’s no one saying I’m good either
a friend once asked me if I think they’re evil
said no, to be evil,
consequences of actions would need to be purposeful
so what is it called then
when I stop myself from furthering myself
comforted to think Elvis, too, was once shy
put someone in front of me who has never been so
…all of us together…
I shan’t throw down my life
for world peace
unless I can be certain everyone else has been nervous.
